Indiana teacher requirements
Applicants must have a current Indiana certificate and be teaching in the grades/subjects of their certification. Applicants with an out-of-state license can apply for a reciprocal Indiana license if able to provide verification of experience, acceptable Praxis test scores and a clear criminal history. All teachers new to the profession are required to participate in a standardized mentoring and assessment program and must begin the process within 10 days of hire.
